Councillor Lapworth declared a pecuniary interest in Item 8: Heritage Oakville Advisory Committee (December 19, 2017 Minutes), section 6(b) Cultural Heritage Landscape Conservation Plan – Glen Abbey Property, and section 6(c) Proposed Draft-Cultural Heritage Landscape Conservation Plan By-law, as one of his income tax clients is an employee of Glen Abbey Golf Course.

1.

That the appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board of Committee of Adjustment Decision CAV A/192/2017, 1198 Cynthia Lane, be confirmed.

 

2.

That the Town Solicitor or his designate be authorized to pursue this appeal of COA Decision CAV A/192/2017 in accordance with the position set out in Appendix C attached to the Legal Department report dated November 23, 2017.

 

3.

That, in consultation with the Director of Planning or his designate, the Town Solicitor or his designate be authorized to negotiate a proposed settlement of the Appeal either before or at the Board Hearing in a manner that addresses the issues and concerns identified in Appendix C attached to the Legal Department report dated November 23, 2017.

That the Town Clerk forward a copy of Appendix E to the report to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and the Ministry of the Attorney General as the Town’s submission regarding the proposed regulations under Bill 139.

 

3.

That the Town Clerk forward a copy of the report to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, the Ministry of the Attorney General, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, Conservation Halton, Halton’s MPPs, Halton Region, the City of Burlington, the Town of Halton Hills, and the Town of Milton for their information.

Residential Character Study

December 15, 2017

 

 

For the purposes of Planning Act requirements, the following person(s) made an oral submission:

Peter DeRosa, President, Trafalgar Chartwell Residents Association (TCRA) re: supporting the residential character study and ensuring that the neighbourhoods represented by the Trafalgar Chartwell Residents Association would also be included as part of the study.

 

-  Janet Haslett-Theall, on behalf of the Joshua Creek Residents’ Association (JCRA), re: supporting the residential character study and noted the importance of also including in the study the consideration of the backyards of homes, privacy of properties, and a more granular review of neighbourhoods.
