  • Recommendation:
    1. That the report dated December 5, 2023 from the Transportation and Engineering Department, entitled “Transfer of Portion of Burnhamthorpe Road from Halton Region to the Town of Oakville”, be received;

    2. That the Town Solicitor be authorized to prepare the necessary By-law and ancillary documents to facilitate the proposed transfer, as outlined in this report;

    3. That the Commissioner of Community Infrastructure be authorized to amend the Road Maintenance Agreement with Halton Region to reflect the transfer of Burnhamthorpe Road (Regional Road 27), from the William Halton Parkway (Regional Road 40) Connecting Link to Sixth Line, to reflect the transfer as outlined in this report;

    4. That staff be directed to undertake the necessary processes to update relevant maps, databases, and other documents to reflect the transfer of this portion of Burnhamthorpe Road to the Town of Oakville; and

    5. That a copy of this report be forwarded to Halton Region to confirming that the Town of Oakville’s Council has provided their consent for the transfer of Burnhamthorpe Road (Regional Road 27), from the William Halton Parkway (Regional Road 40) Connecting Link to Sixth Line, to the Town of Oakville.

  • Recommendation:
    1. That By-law 2023-167, a by-law to repeal Tow Truck Licensing By-law 2019-060, as amended and amend Licensing By-law 2015-075, as amended to delete references to motor vehicle storage yards, attached as Appendix A to the report from Municipal Enforcement Services dated December 5, 2023, be passed.

    2. That the Rates and Fees Schedule for Municipal Enforcement Services – Licensing be amended to delete fees for tow truck/heavy tow truck owners, motor vehicle storage yards and inspection/re-inspection of a tow truck, as of January 1, 2024.

  • Recommendation:
    1. That new leases for the existing tenants at 308 Church Street and 110 Reynolds Street be approved and executed in accordance with by-law 2013-057; and

    2. That the CAO be authorized to execute renewals and amendments to these leases subject to such renewals and amendments having been negotiated to the satisfaction of the Town Solicitor.

  • Recommendation:
    1. That the information contained in the staff report dated December 5, 2023, entitled September 30, 2023 Financial Results from the Finance Department, be received.
    2. That the Street Trees reserve fund be closed as all funds have been fully utilized for the planting and maintenance of street trees.

  • Recommendation:
    1. That the new Digitization Procedure, attached as Appendix A to report Corporate Policy Update, dated December 5, 2023, be received.

    2. That the new Cancelling Parking Penalty Notices Procedure, attached as Appendix B to report Corporate Policy Update, dated December 5, 2023, be received.

  • Recommendation:

    That the presentation from Rob Lister, President and CEO of Oakville Enterprises Corporation (OEC) regarding the quarterly update be received.

  • Recommendation:
    1. That the draft Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility Multi-Year Plan, 2024-2028 be received.

    2. That staff consult the community on the draft plan in the first quarter of 2024 and report back to Council in the second quarter of 2024, with a final Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility Multi-Year Plan, 2024–2028 incorporating comments received from Council at its December 18, 2023 meeting and comments received from the community.
  • Recommendation:
    1. That the report entitled Halton Region 2023 Allocation Program, from the Planning Services and Finance Departments, dated December 5, 2023, be received;

    2. That Halton Region be requested to allocate servicing to lands in North Oakville, generally in accordance with this report;

    3. That Halton Region be requested to accelerate the servicing of lands north of Dundas Street between Tremaine Road and Regional Road 25;

    4. That the Director of Planning Services be authorized to endorse any minor changes to the distribution of servicing allocation which may arise as Halton Region advances the program, and the subsequent transfer of allocation units between other Oakville properties; and,

    5. That the Town Clerk provide a copy of this report, and Council’s resolutions, to Halton Region, the City of Burlington and the Towns of Milton and Halton Hills.
