PUBLIC HEARING STATEMENT

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Council on a proposed Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and/or Plan of Subdivision or Condominium, before a decision is made, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of Oakville Council to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT); and may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the LPAT.

DELEGATIONS

Should you wish to speak at this meeting to address an item on the agenda, you may register with the Clerk’s department by noon the day of the meeting at 905-815-6015 or by email - [email protected].

Alternatively, the Chair will invite anyone wishing to speak in the audience  

to come forward at the appropriate time during the meeting. Delegations shall be permitted to speak for a maximum of ten minutes per agenda item. Should you have any handouts, 20 copies are required if you would like them distributed to the members during your presentation, or you may provide a copy to the Clerk which will be scanned and forwarded to the members after the meeting.  Also, should you wish to use a PowerPoint presentation, please forward it to the Clerk’s department at [email protected] by noon the day of the meeting.

Recommendation:

That the report from the Planning Services Department entitled North Oakville School Update, dated February 5, 2019 be received.

Recommendation Report, Zoning By-law Amendment, 393 Dundas LP, 393 Dundas Street West, File No. ZBA 1319.07, By-law 2019-006

January 21, 2019

 

 

Recommendation:

1.

That Zoning By-law Amendment application submitted by Korsiak Urban Planning on behalf of 393 Dundas L.P. (File No. ZBA 1319.07), as revised, be approved on the basis that the application is consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement, conforms or does not conflict with all applicable Provincial plans, conforms with the Region of Halton Official Plan and North Oakville West Secondary Plan, has regard for matters of Provincial interest, and represents good planning for the reasons outlined in the report from the Planning Services department dated January 21, 2019.

 

2.

That By-law 2019-006, an amendment to Zoning By-law 2009-189, be passed.

 

3.

That notice of Council’s decision reflects that Council has fully considered all the written and oral submissions relating to this matter and that those comments have been appropriately addressed.

 

4.

That, in accordance with Section 34(17) of the Planning Act, no further notice is determined to be necessary.

 

5.

That the site plan for the proposed development of the Dundas Urban Core lands be designed in accordance with the urban design requirements in Appendix G of the report from the Planning Services department dated January 21, 2019.

1.

That Planning Services report “Information Report - Province of Ontario, Proposed Amendment to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe”, be received.

 

2.

That Planning Services report “Information Report - Province of Ontario, Proposed Amendment to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe” dated February 5, 2019 be submitted to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing by the commenting deadline of February 28, 2019.

 

3.

That Planning Services report “Information Report - Province of Ontario, Proposed Amendment to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe” dated February 5, 2019, be forwarded to the Region of Halton, City of Burlington, Town of Halton Hills and the Town of Milton for information.
