      • Is the location of at-grade bicycle parking appropriate?
      • Are there public realm impacts from buildings?
      • What is the visitor parking strategy? Is it unpaid?
      • What is the on-street availability for parking?
      • What is the proximity of commercial/retail to the subject lands?
      • Is the snow storage and waste management being appropriately addressed?

Stefan Staicu, MHBC Planning, presented the proposed Official Plan Application and Zoning By-law Application on behalf of the applicant RBW Development Corporation.

    1. That comments from the public with respect to the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment submitted by RBW Development Corporation (File Nos. OPA 1731.42 and Z.1731.42) be received.
    2. That staff consider such comments as may be provided by Council:
      • Separation distance between the westernmost townhouse unit and the abutting Town-owned lands
      • The total number of curb cuts to accommodate the driveways
      • Multiuse trail along Lakeshore Road West frontage; want to ensure the Town has enough ROW to accommodate the multiuse trail as outlined in the Transportation Masterplan.
      • Ensure the proposed front yard setback distances from the townhouse units to the future ROW, that is to be conveyed to the Town, are appropriate
      • Impacts on neighbourhood character and compatibility; massing and scale of the proposed development
      • Lack of visitor parking options; single car driveways with only two parking spaces per unit
      • No commercial uses being considered as part of the development proposal; home occupations still permitted

    1. That the staff report titled “Recommendation Report – Town-initiated Official Plan Amendment 73 (OPA 73), By-law 2025-119 – Provincial Consistency Exercise (File 42.15.67)” be received;

    2. That Town-initiated Official Plan Amendment 73 (Provincial Consistency Exercise, File No. 42.15.67) be adopted;

    3. That By-law 2025-119, a by-law to adopt an amendment to the Livable Oakville Plan, be passed; and,

    4. That notice of Council’s decision reflects that Council has fully considered all the written and oral submission relating to this matter and that those comments have been appropriately addressed.

Councilor Nanda congratulated the Blue Jays on their victory, wished everyone a joyous and safe Diwali, and invited colleagues, staff, and all Oakville residents to the 3rd Annual Diwali event at Town Hall on Sunday, October 26th, from 12 to 4 p.m.

A by-law to adopt an amendment to the Livable Oakville Plan to address consistency with provincial legislation and policy (File No. 42.15.67) (Re: Item 8.1).

A by-law to confirm the proceedings of a meeting of Council.
