The Town of Oakville Council met in special session, via videoconference, this 6th day of July, 2021 in the Council Chamber of the Oakville Municipal Building, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville commencing at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting recessed at 9:24 p.m. and reconvened at 9:40 p.m.

    1. That the Lakeshore Road West Class Environmental Assessment Update (EA), as presented in the staff report dated June 22, 2021, from the Transportation and Engineering Department be received.

    2. That staff be directed to conclude the Lakeshore Road West Environmental Study.

    3. That the Preferred Solution concept proposed in the EA be received.

    4. That staff be directed to prepare detailed design of the proposed preferred solution for Council consideration.

    5. That the detailed design consider options to limit tree loss.

    6. That the detailed design consider options to limit the taking of private property.

    8. That the detailed design provide Council with an analysis of the climate change impacts.

    9. That the detailed design process include public consultation, to be provided to Council with staff evaluation of the public comments.

    10. That staff be directed to prepare a separate EA for McCraney Bridge Improvements and file on the public record for a 30 day review period.

    11. That staff be directed to consider inclusion of the recommended works in the capital forecast.

    12. That additional investigation be done on drainage options to maintain a rural profile where it exists.
