Update Fishing Restrictions

 
  • Recommendation:

    That the presentation from Rob Lister, President and CEO of Oakville Enterprises Corporation regarding the Oakville Enterprises Corporation Quarterly Update, be received.

  • Recommendation:
    1. That a notice of intention to repeal By-law 2022-095, a by-law to designate the Former Palermo Methodist Church Parsonage at 3017 Old Bronte Road as a property of cultural heritage value or interest be issued, subject to Recommendations 2 and 3 below;

    2. That the owner of 3017 Old Bronte Road enter into a Heritage Easement Agreement (HEA) with the town to salvage and store materials from the Former Palermo Methodist Church Parsonage building to be used in a new commemorative feature within the site, in conformity with this report and with the Agreement to be in form and content satisfactory to the Town Solicitor and the Director of Planning Services or their designates;

    3. That the Heritage Easement Agreement be executed prior to the issuance of a notice of intention to repeal By-law 2022-095 by Council and prior to the issuance of a building permit for demolition of the Former Palermo Methodist Church Parsonage building; and

    4. That the new commemorative feature at 3017 Old Bronte Road be protected in perpetuity through either a Heritage Easement Agreement or through a designation by-law under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act.

  • Recommendation:

    That the following recommendation pertaining to Item 4.3 of the Accessibility  Advisory Committee minutes from its meeting on September 8, 2022, be approved and the remainder of the minutes be received:

    4.3     Request from Ruth Sheridan, AAC Member - Submission from enVISION Oakville Peer Support Group to double size of street signage at main intersections, and yellow lines or sections/areas of pavement painted on slopes leading to streets

    That the Accessibility Advisory Committee requests that the submission from Ruth Sheridan, AAC member on behalf of enVISION Oakville Peer Support Group, be referred to the Transportation and Engineering Department for comment:

      1. double the size of street signage at most main intersections to allow the driver and passengers more easily to see the name of the main streets in their municipality; and
      2. yellow lines or sections/areas of pavement painted on all slopes (inclines and ramps) that lead to a street at main intersections, and in the future expanding this project to every slope in all wards, where there is a possibility of uneven joints between the concrete and the asphalt.

A by-law to dedicate certain land as part of a public highway (Block 562, Plan 20M-1160 – Trailside Drive)

A by-law to dedicate certain land as part of a public highway (Parts 1 and 2, Plan 20R- 22216 - Baronwood Drive) 

A by-law to confirm the proceedings of a meeting of Council.

The following by-law was prepared under the authority of amending By-law 2022-022 - A by-law to amend By-law 2021-077, a by-law to delegate certain powers and duties under the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001 c.25, the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P.13, and other Acts:

A by-law to amend Zoning By-law 2009-189 as amended, to remove Holding Provision 20 (1005 Dundas Street East and 3033 Eighth Line), File No.: Z.1310.17
