  • Recommendation:

    That By-law 2026-053, a by-law to authorize a property tax rebate to eligible senior property owners in the 2026 taxation year, attached as Appendix A, be passed.

  • Recommendation:

    That the Tax Levy by-law 2026-052, a by-law to provide for the levying of rates for the year 2026, as attached to the report from the Finance Department, be passed.

  • Recommendation:

    That the 2026 priority intergovernmental requests identified in Appendix A of the report dated April 14, 2026, from the Corporate Strategy and Government Relations Department be approved.

  • Recommendation:
    1. That the transfers to and from the Reserves and Reserve Funds, projects identified for closure, and transactions contained in the report dated April 14, 2026, from the Finance department be approved.
    2. That the $3.72 million surplus, less any required adjustments, be transferred to the Capital Reserve.
    3. That the 2026 capital budget be amended to add a new project with a budget of $150,000, funded from the Theatre capital reserve, for state-of-good-repair works at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.
    4. That the 2026 capital budget be amended to add a new project with a budget of $271,000, funded from the Capital Reserve, for the replacement of the audio system at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.
    5. That the 2026 capital budget be amended to add a new project with a budget of $530,000, funded by the Capital Reserve, for design of the Rebecca Street Bridge Replacement over Fourteen Mile Creek to commence in 2026.
    6. That the 2026 capital budget be amended to add a new project with a budget of $175,000 for state-of-good-repair works including the tennis and pickleball courts at Fowley Park, funded from anticipated savings in project 52242629 William Rose Park Renewal with Capital Reserve funding.
    7. That the Enforcement Support Associate position supporting the conclusion of the Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) program be further extended from July 31, 2026, to December 31, 2026, and the $46,400 impact be funded by the Tax Stabilization Reserve.

    That the 2026 Community Satisfaction Survey report from the Strategy, Policy and Communications department be received.

  • Recommendation:

    That Council receive the Facility and Indoor Asset Naming Procedure, as outlined in Appendix A.

  • Recommendation:
    1. That By-law 2026-051, a by-law to amend Discharge of Fireworks By-law 2009-056, attached as Appendix A to the report from Municipal Enforcement Services, dated April 14, 2026, be passed.
    2. That the administrative penalties listed in Appendix B to the report from Municipal Enforcement Services, dated April 14, 2026, be approved, and included in the Rates and Fees schedule.
    3. That this report be shared with the Halton Regional Police Service.

    That staff be directed to report back to Council on the potential for adverse possession claims as it relates to Munn’s Creek encroachment concerns, with consideration to the Supreme Court of Canada decision (Kosicki v. City of Toronto, 2025) and the staff report from July 2025.
