PUBLIC HEARING STATEMENT

 

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Council on a proposed Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and/or Plan of Subdivision or Condominium, before a decision is made, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of Oakville Council to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT); and may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the LPAT.

Should you wish to speak at this meeting to address an item on the agenda, you may register with the Clerk’s department by noon the day of the meeting at 905-815-6015 or by email - townclerk@oakville.ca.

Alternatively, the Chair will invite anyone wishing to speak in the audience  

to come forward at the appropriate time during the meeting. Delegations shall be permitted to speak for a maximum of ten minutes per agenda item. Should you have any handouts, 20 copies are required if you would like them distributed to the members during your presentation, or you may provide a copy to the Clerk which will be scanned and forwarded to the members after the meeting.  Also, should you wish to use a PowerPoint presentation, please forward it to the Clerk’s department at townclerk@oakville.ca by noon the day of the meeting.
