The Town of Oakville Council met in regular session to consider planning matters on this 26th day of June, 2023 in the Council Chamber of the Oakville Municipal Building, 1225 Trafalgar Road, commencing at 6:30 p.m.

    1. That the Zoning By-law Amendment application (File No.: ZH 4/23) submitted by Mattamy (Joshua Creek) Limited, to remove the H29 holding symbol from 3008 William Cutmore Boulevard be approved; and,

    2. That By-law 2023-069, a by-law to remove the H29 holding symbol from 3008 William Cutmore Boulevard, from Zoning By-law 2009-189, as amended, be passed.

    1. That comments from the public with respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision applications submitted by Robert Russell Planning Consultants Inc. on behalf of Rampen Holdings Inc. (File No. Z.1310.18 and 24T-22009/1310), be received.
    2. That analysis of the following matters of interest to Council be included as part of the recommendation report:
      1. details on the Village Square including the facilities to be provided.
      2. explanation of the optional Natural Heritage System linkage.
      3. details about the overall traffic plan and timing, and use of a temporary turning circle and future connection to Burnhamthorpe Road.
      4. details about access/servicing to the subject lands through abutting lands.

    1. That the Committee of the Whole meetings be considered for the purpose of deliberating on the Midtown Oakville Official Plan Amendment in accordance with section 5.6 of the Procedure By-law 2020-011.
    2. That the Committee of the Whole be guided by the process and approach outlined in the report titled “Committee of the Whole for Midtown Oakville - June 26, 2023. “

(Emergency, Congratulatory or Condolence)

Councillor Gittings offered congratulations to the Oakville Trafalgar High School Senior Boys Rugby Team on winning gold at OFSAAA for the second time in a row.

Acting Mayor Duddeck offered congratulations to Kathy Patrick, Acting Town Clerk, on her retirement and thanked Kathy Patrick for all that she has done for the town and shared with Council and the Oakville community.
